Last week I included the link to a song; The God I Know.
This week that song has me going in another direction.
Telling others about the God I know....do I take the opportunity to do that? How do I do that?
We known that we are commissioned to.
📖 Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age. Matthew 28:18-20
But I am not a missionary, nor a minister, am I?
I believe that we all possess the ability and opportunities to "tell" others even if it isn't with our formal words.
Our reactions teach
Our actions minister
Our love tells
How we react in unfavorable circumstances teaches others who are watching what it means to have the peace of Christ dwelling within us.
📖 Make every effort to live in peace with everyone and to be holy; without holiness no one will see the Lord. Hebrews 12:14
📖 Do not repay anyone evil for evil. Be careful to do what is right in the eyes of everyone. If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone. Romans 12:17-18
What we do for others, especially those "less desirable", less fortunate, speaks to Who we serve.
📖 “Then the righteous will answer him, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?’ “The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’ Matthew 25:37-40
The love that flows from us should tell others Who that love comes from.
📖 “A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.” John 13:34-35
🙏🏼
📖 May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. Romans 15:13
Lord, may we overflow with Your love that fills us, Your peace that dwells in us, and that overflow is evident in everything we do. ♥️
