his faithfulness continues through all generations. Psalm 100:5
But we know she is having the merriest Christmas....She is celebrating with Jesus this year!
A Rugged Cross...everything was leading to this…. because of what Christ did on that cross allows us salvation;
The children's story written as part of our Christmas Eve Service
Shepherds watched over their flocks on
that quiet night
God had a plan, a little baby
was a part
and so was a rugged cross
on a hill
Because God loves each of us
with all His heart.
CHRIST would die on that
cross, and He would rise again.
that’s not what we are celebrating now, though,
but we will when warm spring
brings the rain.
📖 After they had heard the king, they
went on their way, and the star they had seen when it rose went ahead of them
until it stopped over the place where the child was. When they
saw the star, they were overjoyed. Matthew 2:9-10
The star shone declaring God’s love. love of a Father for His Son...and His children.
📖 For God so loved the
world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever
believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. John 3:16
Love lights the way..
leading the way to the Son, the Son who would then become the Light that leads the way.
📖 And there were shepherds living out in the fields nearby, keeping watch over their flocks at night. An angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were terrified. But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people Luke 2:8-10
Fields and barns are peaceful at night. There are noises, but they are usually quiet and subdued. God chose a place where animals would be sleeping for the night...not a room with even the basics of the day, for His Son to be delivered.
He
chose the peaceful country side...with its flocks and lowly shepherds to be the
first to come see this Baby.
