Freedom to Speak

Free to speak...but speak what?

In our world today the phrase Freedom of Speach is thrown about in many different situations...it is in our country's constitution....And I don't disagree that it is important.
But speak what??
📖 So Balaam answered and said to Balak, “Did I not tell you, saying, All that the Lord speaks, that I must do’?Numbers 23:26
ALL that the Lord speaks!!
How do we know what the Lord speaks??
That is why we call the Bible "God's Word"  He spoke it in to existence.
📖  All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work. 2 Timothy 3:16-179⁸
The Word of God is where we find what God intends for us each day.
📖 For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart. Hebrews 4:12
It will direct and convict our hearts.

In the Bible study our ladies are doing one line stuck out to me last week....
"Don't speak until you are spoken through." (The Power of  Woman's Words Workbook Sharon Jaynes pg. 117)
What comes out our mouth should be what comes from God.

Our words have the power to build up or tear down....to bring life or death.

Speak Life

🎶 We can turn our heart through the words we say
Mountains crumble with every syllable
Hope can live or die

So speak life, speak life
To the deadest, darkest night
Speak life, speak life
When the sun won't shine and you don't know why
Look into the eyes of the brokenhearted
Watch 'em come alive as soon as you speak hope
You speak love, you speak
You speak life,   Speak Life TobyMac
In the darkness, death, and destruction that may seem all around us we speak the Lord's words,  we speak truth but we speak it in  love, we speak grace, we speak compassion, we speak restoration, we speak generosity, we speak forgiveness....we speak life.
📖 The Lord came and stood there, calling as at the other times, “Samuel! Samuel!” Then Samuel said, “Speak, for your servant is listening.”  1 Samuel 3:10

🙏 We can each say...."Speak, Lord, your servant is listening "❤
